ABOUT DIAMOND WOMEN’S SUPPORT
Diamond Women’s Support is a warm, engaging community based not-for-profit organisation that provides holistic support to women and their families facing an unplanned pregnancy.
In 2006, Diamond was started to provide real alternative options and support to women and families navigating their choices and support around an unplanned pregnancy. It provides counselling, outreach, parenting and mentor support groups, material assistance and casework service referrals. These services are readily available for young, vulnerable, pregnant and or parenting women as well as their families who are in crisis.
Since its launch in 2006, Diamond has provided over 1,200 pregnant and parenting women and their families with thousands of hours of counselling, mentoring and support. Their service has always operated twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to ensure women can access the support they need any time. They support women from Greater Western Sydney, Central Coast, South West, Sydney CBD, Illawarra and surrounding areas. As of September 2018, Diamond Women’s Support, and Sara’s Place merged together to increase strength in numbers, resources and support for all women in need of help.
The women and families seen at Diamond are some of the most vulnerable and at risk in our community. Without the care, counselling, practical assistance and support services that Diamond provides, these individuals and their babies would face a very uncertain future.
DIAMOND PLUS NEWSELF
We believe that being a disciple of Jesus is more than living boldly for Jesus, but that our new life will manifest in loving works for Jesus. Not because we must, and not because we will earn any merit as a result – but we love because HE first loved us. While we were helpless, Jesus loved us. So we want to love others just like Jesus.
We LOVE the work that Diamond Women’s Support is doing to assist women and their families facing an unplanned pregnancy. In this complex space, this organisation seeks to bring the love of Jesus into these difficult situations. That’s why we’ve decided to partner with them and donate 20% of proceeds from every onesie sold.
